Food Versus Fuel


Using farmland for energy is one of the most controversial debates in energy. There are many who worry that farms growing the feedstocks for biofuels risk taking food off people's dinner plates in order to satisfy clean fuel goals. Others decry the use of agricultural land for renewable farms that generate electricity.

Aaron Foyer, Director of Research, discuses this very topic with Managing Director Robbie Donaldson, who grew up in a farming family in Scotland and has developed renewable projects on agricultural lands.
